notes:
These
are brand new forged dropped spindles based off of later-style
stock spindles. Unlike some spindles that
use a cast hub piece with a billet spindle shaft, both parts of
these spindles are drop forged billet for superior strength
(same as OEM spindle construction).
The drop on these spindles is approximately 2.5" (total
drop will depend on wheel size, tire height, and other
suspension factors). These spindles will space your front wheels
out about 1/4" on each side.
Attn 66-67 Beetle owners with the original wide-5 lug
pattern:
You will need to change over to later style outer
tie-rods and later outer wheel bearings. These spindles will allow you to
lower your front-end 2.5" and still use your stock wide 5 drums.
You will need to convert to later outer wheel bearings and later
outer tie rod ends.
Parts needed for installation:
Outer Wheel Bearings - 311405625B
Outer Tie Rod End - left -
311415811C
Outer Tie Rod End - right -
311415812C
Attn 67-68 Beetle owners with the original 4-lug
pattern:
If your chassis number
is up to
158/118857239, you will need to convert over to the same parts as
the above instructions, but will be able to keep your 4-lug
pattern with stock drums.
Attn 68 & later Beetle / Ghia owners:
Beyond chassis number 158/118857239, you will not need to
change any parts on your front suspension.
These will not fit Super
Beetles of any year!
