description:
Due to inconsistent
quality from the various manufacturers of these gaskets
including one batch that was made with a material that was only
for use with water - not gas, we decided to start manufacturing
them ourselves. Due to this we can now offer you the finest carb
base gasket on the market! They are made here in the USA from
one of the top quality gasket materials available. Unlike some
gaskets being made from asbestos-containing materials,
we make our
gaskets from a non-asbestos gasket material for your safety but
it is still as strong and durable as asbestos enough so that
it's considered a direct substitute for it. It is a reinforced
cellulose fiber with a fully cured nitrile butadiene binder -
the rubber binders are vulcanized during formulation or in
subsequent processes for added initial strength and fluid
resistance. It has
excellent crush resistance with a minimum
tensile strength 1600 PSI
and sealing properties, will
withstand all types of fuel available (including
ethanol-blends), and will even withstand short duration temperatures
up to 350oF (180oC). |
