notes:
This mount was originally
only used on 1963-1967 Buses however due to quality issues with
other mounts currently available, it is an acceptable
replacement for many other years and models. It is a little
different than what these other years and models used so some
slight modification may be necessary.
Beetle and Ghia 10/52-1959 and 1961-1962
Using this mount may require enlarging the mounting
holes on your nosecone slightly and switching to 10mm nuts and
wavy washers to attach.
Beetle and Ghia 1963-1965
This mount does not have the provision for the isolation
dampening piece which is not required but should not
require any other modifications to install. At worst you may
have to slightly enlarge the mounting holes on your nosecone.
Beetle and Ghia 1966-1972
A high-quality reproduction of the 1966-1972 mount is
now available however this mount can also be used. The same modifications as earlier years may be required.
Bus 1959-1962
Using this mount may require enlarging the mounting
holes on your nosecone slightly and switching to 10mm nuts and
wavy washers to attach. |
