These are a very nice
heavy duty shift rod guide that comes from an OEM to VW in
Brazil. Overall the quality on them has been excellent and we've
sold sold lots of these without any incident. That being said,
there has been an isolated incident of the nuts giving under
torque so clearly on that one part the weld on the nuts was not
adequate. Due to this we are now test running bolts through all
of these to make sure (as well as we can) that the nuts don't
give during installation. We would recommend, however, if you are having the
guide welded in or have a welder handy, it's cheap and quick
insurance to throw a few tack welds on the nuts. We also
recommend test running bolts through the guide yourself prior to
installation. |
